The Spare bedroom becomes a Music Room

The spare room was transformed from a storeroom into my music room.

The floor was really squeaky so I glued and screwed the sheets down to the joists and that much reduced the issue. Helped but not 100% cure.

The walls also needed sound treatment to reduce the echoes. I constructed and hung some acoustic panels with mineral wool and also added a few commercial acoustic tiles. 

Before repainting additional electric and network sockets were installed, along with new lighting.


Hangers for my guitars & cables were then fixed to the walls. Finally, I added thicker curtains and a carpet mat before moving my desk, speakers and the remainder of my musical gear in.
