Moving On

If life is a series of chapters then ‘Moving On’ recounts a chapter where it is finally time to accept the need to leave one box for living in and move on to another.

The song was inspired by helping my mum-in-law relocate to a independent living retirement complex, from her ‘forever home’, following the loss of my father-in-law.

Then five years later, as that late-if-life adventure itself came to an end, it was time to concede that the era of independent living was over. Another move has been made, this time to a residential care home.

The song has now been transcribed using Musescore 4 and an audio recording is planned for 2025.
