An emotional song written about the premature loss of my youngest sister to cancer.

She was broken ~ she was Out of Order

She left us before her time ~ that’s Out of Order

Her loss was quite simply ~ Out of Order

Michelle steered the writing of the lyrics a little, encouraging me to not hold back when I hesitated about a couple of lines.

She adored the East Coast of Yorkshire, as do I, and she lived there for several years, hence the choice of coastal images used in the video.

I have only sung this live twice and made a bit of a hash of it on the last occasion, forgetting the third verse completely and turning it into an instrumental again!

I have started transcribing this song in Musescore 4 and hope to re-record the completed song during 2025. Towards that I have been revisiting the guitar intro for which I plan a slight variation.
